Editing external data processors

You can edit an external data processor in the editor window.

Specify the main object properties: Name, Synonym, and Comment.

Create the subordinate objects: attributes, tabular sections, forms, and templates.

To create forms and templates, use the built-in wizards.

The following data processor operations are available on the Actions menu:

  • Open object module. Opens the data processor module for editing.
  • Open default form. Opens the default data processor form in the form editor.
  • Open. Opens a submenu for opening the data processor form or template for editing.
  • Compare and merge with external report or data processor. Opens the dialog box for comparing the data processor with another object.
  • Export to files. Opens the dialog box for exporting the external data processor to XML files.
  • Import from files. Opens the dialog box for selecting the XML file that stores the data processor.
Attention! If you select a file that is not a root data processor export file, it is opened as a text document.
  • Add. Adds an attribute, tabular section, form, or template to the data processor.
  • Help content. Opens the data processor help topic editor.
  • Properties. Opens the data processor property palette.

If you are editing the data processor in the Ordinary application mode, you can create the data processor output form by clicking Actions, pointing to Wizards, and clicking Output form wizard.

To save the data processor, on the File menu, click Save, select a directory, and specify the file name.
