How to set up columns
Other Settings

For better visual representation, customize the list of displayed columns using Actions — Customize List menu item.

Columns Tab

Currently displayed columns are checked in the list. You can change the set of displayed columns. Check a column to display it and remove the check to remove the column from display.

Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to set the desired order of the columns in the list.

To set up display of a particular column, select it and specify the required attribute settings in the right area.

The Position field allows you to select the column's position.

"New column – the new column will be positioned to the right of the previous column.
"On the next row – the new column will be positioned under the previous column. This option is meaningless for the first column.
"In the same column – the new column will be positioned in the same column as the previous one.

To position several columns under one column, select On the next row, and select In the same column for all columns following this one.

In the Size change field, specify whether the column is resizable with the mouse and how it changes to fit the window size.
Use the Width field to specify the column width (in characters).
Use the Height field to specify the column height (in lines).

If the Autoheight checkbox is selected, the height will be derived from the representation of the value in the column, based on the maximum number of lines set in the Height box.

The Apply button allows to see the result of selected settings immediately.

The Standard Order button cancels all custom settings and restores the default settings.

Important! Sometimes the settings of a particular column cannot be changed. You also cannot insert columns between two columns which are not allowed to be repositioned.
When you set up some lists (in the All Subsystems, command interface, desktop and other editors), you cannot move or change the position of columns.

Other Tab

If the Restore Position on Open checkbox is set, the active row will be the one that was open when the list was closed (the last one viewed).

To display the last table rows first when the list is opened, select End in the On open go to field. To display the first table rows first, select "Start".

If the Update Automatically Every ... Seconds checkbox is set, the system will update the list at the intervals specified in the text box to the right of the checkbox. This setting is recommended for a frequently updated list form that is always or almost always opened.

If the Do Not Filter New Strings checkbox is selected, then when you enter a new string, it will be checked to see whether it matches the filter, and if it does not, an appropriate message will be displayed.

When a hierarchical catalog is set up, Set Hierarchical View on Open checkbox appears.

The settings are saved individually for each form and each user.
