Restoring/dumping infobase

Infobase is restored and dumped in the Designer mode.

Important! Before restoring or dumping, close all infobase sessions.

To dump infobase, select Administration - Dump infobase...

This feature is used mainly to obtain infobase image independently of the way of data storage.

Sometimes this feature is also used to backup an infobase, but this usage mode has some shortcomings.

The main problem is that this operation must be performed in single-user mode.
For infobases of large volume, disruption in the work of users can last quite a long time, which is often unacceptable.

 

To restore infobase, select Administration - Restore infobase...
