Global Command Interface Editor

How to set up the subsystem command interface

To edit the configuration command interface, in the Configuration window for the Subsystems group (or the root object in the configuration object tree) select All Subsystems from the context menu. Command interface editor window will open.

The system allows the user to set up the display order for subsystems in the configuration tree and visibility of the command interface elements.

Note. Global command interface editor for a subsystem can also be opened from the corresponding property of the Command Interface subsystem property using the Open link.

The Subsystems list specifies the order of subsystems in the configuration tree. This order does not affect the sequence order for subsystems in the sections panel.
The system only includes in the list those subsystems that have the property Include in the command interface set in the main properties. Since subsystems can include further subsystems, you should bear in mind that if the first hierarchy level subsystem does not have this property set and its subordinate system does have it, the subordinate subsystem will not be included in the list of subsystems displayed in the Subsystems list.

If there are no subsystems with selected Include in the command interface property, the Sections panel is not displayed in the run mode while the navigation and actions panels will include all the commands available for the current role.

In order to determine the sequence order for subsystems in the sections panel, open the command interface editor for the root object in the configuration object tree and specify an order for subsystems.

To edit properties for a subsystem, use properties palette or subsystem editor (select the subsystem and click the "Edit Current Item button). In order to edit command interface of a subsystem, select the subsystem and use Open Command Interface from the context menu.

To move a subsystem (along all its subordinate subsystems), select the subsystem and click the Move Subsystem button. In the item selection window that opens choose the subsystem to which the selected subsystem should be moved to. Moving to subsystems that are part of the current one is forbidden.

Determining Contents of a Subsystem

Under the subsystems list you will see the Content hierarchical list where the content of the metadata related to the current subsystem from the subsystems list is formed. You should bear in mind that the displayed content does not include metadata related to subordinate subsystems if the metadata is not set for these subsystems.

To edit content, click the Edit Subsystems Content button. Item selection window that opens will contain the metadata tree. Items with set checkboxes are included in the content of the subsystem.

In the selection window you should select the items that should be included in the subsystem content. Clicking the OK button will close the selection window and configure the subsystem content.

Subsystem Command Interface Settings

Subsystem command interface settings are selected in the table box located to the right from the subsystems list and subsystem commands content.

For techniques used to determine the settings see Command Interface Editor topic.
