Selecting a Spreadsheet Document Area

It is possible to select an area in a spreadsheet document in the following situations: selecting print area, selecting data area when defining an area for charts, selecting template area.

In order to specify the print area, in the general properties palette of the spreadsheet document click the selection button in the Print Area property. The dialog to specify the area will be opened.

In order to specify an area for a chart, highlight the chart itself and click the selection button in the Data Area property of the chart properties palette. The dialog to specify the area will be opened.

In order to specify a template data area (fields, grouping fields, header grouping fields, resources) in the data composition schema wizard (Templates tab) in the Area column switch to the edit mode and click the selection button. The dialog to specify the area will be opened.

You should either specify the coordinates of the area or use your mouse pointer to highlight a contiguous rectangular area (the coordinates of the area are included in the dialog automatically), click the selection button or press Enter.

To cancel selection of the area press Esc.
