Connecting to Data Source

The form to connect to a data source is opened in the table wizard of external data source if you select Select from list of external data source tables when you proceed to the next step.

To streamline database connections, you can specify the DBMS type in the DBMS type box.

If you click Use operating system authentication, the user authentication in the external source is performed using the operating system authentication. 

If operating system authentication is not available, click Use standard authentication.

The Connection string contains the string used to connect to the external data source. To simplify the connection string creation, you can use the connection string wizard.

The User name field contains the user name used to access the external data source.

The Password field is intended for user password.
