Data Access Restriction Builder

Use the builder to generate conditions for setting data access restrictions.

The builder form appears on the screen.

On the Tables and Fields tab, choose the desired objects and drag them to the "Tables and Fields" section. If you specify several tables, a Links tab appears in the builder.

On the Links tab, you generate conditions that apply to links between table fields. To enter a new condition, press the Add button, select one table in the "Table1" column, and select a table whose field is linked to the fields of the first in the "Table2" column. Below the list of conditions are controls with which you can generate the table link condition.

If you select a simple condition type, the linked fields of the specified tables are selected in fields Field1 and Field2, and the comparison condition is specified. If you select fields that cannot be compared, the message "Invalid Condition" appears in the condition list row of the "Link Conditions" column.

On the Conditions tab, specify the attributes to use when selecting source data, if necessary. For each selected field, you must select a condition type and specify a parameter name. A session parameter may be used as the parameter.

You can review the query text anytime during its creation by pressing the Query button.
