Use this tab to specify values of some form properties which will be set by default for every new form.
Grid
- Snap to grid
- If this option is turned on, the controls snap to the grid automatically (inserted controls are aligned to grid lines and have size multiple to a grid step).
- Show grid
- If this option is turned on, the grid will be shown in all new forms.
- Checkerboard order
- If this option is turned on, the grid in a new form is displayed as dots in a checkered order. If this option is turned off, dots will be displayed at grid crosspoints.
- Step
- horizontally
- Specifies the size of the horizontal grid step for new forms.
- vertically
- Specifies the size of the vertical grid step for new forms.
Pointers
- Crossing
- If this option is turned on, a new form will display alignment handles for crossing controls.
- Irregular layout
- If this option is turned on, a new form will display alignment handles for controls with unaligned borders.
- On border snap
- If this option is turned on, a new form will display snap handles for control borders.
- Insertion tip
- If this option is turned on, the form editor will show the contour of possible location when a new control is put into a form.
Autoscrolling
- Use
- If this option is turned on (Use only visible area property is off, allowing to move controls outside the visible area of the form), the auto scrolling mode is turned on when a control is moved beyond a visible form border, when dimensions are changed causing a border to move outside the form, or when selection of an object group is started and the mouse pointer moves out of the visible area.
- Scrolling delay
- Specifies the pause (in seconds) before scrolling.
Leveling lines
- Use
- If this option is on, leveling lines will be used in a new form.
- Activation area
- Specifies the size of the activation area for attaching controls to a leveling line.
