Window Types
In 1C:Enterprise 8, there are two types of windows - main application window and auxiliary application windows.
Each type of the 1C:Enterprise 8 window is intended for performing certain tasks. The main application window is used to navigate through configuration and call various commands. The auxiliary window is used to work with the infobase objects (such as documents or catalog items), build reports, and execute data processors.
The main menu of the main and auxiliary windows of 1C:Enterprise 8 contains only common commands which have no applied specifics and cannot be changed by the configuration developer.
Each window of 1C:Enterprise 8 appears on the Windows task bar and at the window toggle when pressing Alt + Tab keys.
