Generic and constant form wizard

At the first step,
the wizard prompts you to select a form type and enter a form name, synonym, and comment.
Use the Select form type controls group to select the form type.
Generic Form
Constants form
Report form
Report settings form
Report option form
Search form

If you select Report form for the form type, you will be able to specify a generic form for a report form when you create a report.
Also, in configuration properties you can set the form to be used as the default form for all reports. The same applies to the Report settings form and Report option form types.
For some form types, some generation settings might be absent (for example, the check boxes Use standard commands, Command bar at the top, and Command bar at the bottom are absent from Report form, Report settings form, Report option form, and Search form).

For the form, specify Name, Synonym, and Comment, as well as Presentation and Extended presentation.

The wizard takes into account the default run mode of the application and the configuration editing mode. Hence, some settings may be unavailable or missing.

If in the option settings the General tab specifies the Managed application and ordinary application configuration edit mode, the wizard will also feature selection of a form type to create. Managed form - the created form will be used in the managed application mode. Generic form - in ordinary mode.

Run mode "Ordinary application"

If a constant form is created, it can be set as the default form. When you open an object without specifying explicitly which form to open, the default form will be selected. When creating a form, select the Set the form as default check box to set the form as the default form. This option is not available for a generic form.

When creating a form, you can arrange two standard command bars within the form (top and bottom). The wizard sets <Form> as the action source for these panels. Later you can change the action source and add custom commands.
The assortment of commands on the panels is determined by the action source and the form's main attribute type.

You can change the layout of main controls as needed (for example, you may want to omit some controls or alter the default control appearance for an attribute). To do this, click Next.

Run mode "Managed application"

If the Use standard commands check box is selected, the command interface of the subsystem containing the form will include a command to open the form.

Command bars are arranged automatically.

At the second step,
the wizard allows you to specify an attribute set, select form elements representing each attribute, and choose attribute layout modes.
For a constants form, the list includes the entire list of constants. For a generic form, the list is empty.
Choose the attributes to be included in the form.
The Arrange controls into ... columns attribute specifies the number of columns in the item form.

To create the form, click Finish. The wizard will arrange the controls in the form and will open the form for editing.
