The Configuration Repository Window

Working with repository objects, maintaining the user list, and other actions are more convenient in the "Configuration Repository" window. To open it, select Configuration/Configuration Repository/Repository.

The Configuration Repository window contains a toolbar and a table field.

The Object column contains the Repository object hierarchy or the list of objects, depending on the viewing mode.

The second column contains object status icons. The icons show the status of locked objects. Objects locked by the current user are shown with an icon containing a red check mark.

The "User" column contains the name of the user who has locked the object.

The "Date" column shows the lock date (if the object is locked at the given moment) or the date of the object's last update.

The "Computer" column contains the name of the user's computer.

The "Infobase" column contains the name of the local infobase directory on the user's computer.

You can perform various operations on the objects stored in the configuration repository: lock objects to make changes; unlock them; insert new and changed objects into the repository; access objects locked and modified by other developers; maintain the repository history; compare a repository object with a configuration object; perform selective comparison of object properties (such as comparing object templates, modules, or help pages), compare a configuration with the repository configuration; and obtain the change history for the repository and for each object.
