View filter options

To analyze changes in configurations it is convenient to use a special filter. To open its settings click the Filter button in the configuration comparison window.

You can use a filter to learn what changes have occurred in configurations by choosing objects for comparison and setting options for displaying the differences.

The main (current) configuration and the new and old vendor configurations serve as comparison objects. Therefore the filter setup window consists of three sections, with similar sets of attributes. Each section is designed to customize a comparison mode for any pair of configurations.

Using filter settings you can immediately set difference display modes for all configurations.
You can use a filter template to make comparison easier. The most commonly used settings are predefined in the template.

You can make a decision about a merge based on the changes and the support rules.
