Work with Data Processors

Data processors are used to execute some operations, for example, loading contents of a catalog from another program.

A data processor usually means some utility procedure, also completely defined during configuration development, that is not intended to output information but instead is used to change some data in the infobase.

Data processors are usually used to perform certain utility functions, for example, loading the contents of a catalog from another program. The nature of the actions performed by a data processor is completely defined in the configuration, so the configuration description or the data processor window itself must contain a description of the properties and purposes of a particular data processor.

Use of Data Processors

In ordinary run mode data processors can be opened using the main menu and panel buttons. Documentation for a specific configuration describes exactly how to execute a certain data processor.

Data processors can also be opened using OperationsData processor… menu item. A list of data processors available in the system will be opened. Select the desired name from the list and click OK button.

To process data in managed run mode you can use commands of the actions panel, navigation panel or buttons of various system forms, as well as other actions. Documentation for a specific configuration describes exactly how to execute a certain data processor.

External data processors can be opened using File - Open command and selecting the appropriate data processor file (with epf extension). For external data processors that have been interactively loaded from the client, access rights for interactive use of external data processors are checked and safe mode is selected if the user does not possess administrative permissions.
