Gantt chart
A Gantt chart (also called a tape chart) is a chart of intervals on the time scale of. It allows you to easily represent work plans or resource allocation over time.Tasks (in a work plan) or objects that use resources are called "points" on a Gantt chart. The actual resources, shown on the time scale, are called "series" on a Gantt chart.
The combination of time periods corresponding to the given series and point is called a "value" on a Gantt chart.
Examples of application:
1. Project management. The points are tasks that must be completed for a project. There is only one series reflecting time spent.
2. Schedule of employee absences. The points are employees, and the series are leaves, business trips, illnesses, etc.
3. Schedule showing equipment or property usage. The points are departments or employees. There can be several series (for example, in one chart you may need to show the utilization of several objects).
