Interface mechanisms

A purpose of the interface mechanisms of 1C:Enterprise 8 platform is to provide a user interaction with the application solution.

Concept of user interface
Forms

Interface of all the 1C:Enterprise 8 application solutions has a single concept which is based on the use of standard elements provided by the platform. Thank to this approach, the users who are familiar with any application solution feel themselves comfortable when working with any other application solution of 1C:Enterprise 8.

Forms in 1C:Enterprise serve to display and edit the information stored in the database. The forms can be generated by the system automatically or created by the developer. To perform the standard actions with data, the form can be assigned for all the application solution objects.

Form items
Command interface

To display and edit data, the form uses various control elements located on the form. The system contains a specialized set of control elements oriented to the execution of business tasks which has the unique features.

The system automatically constructs a command interface for a particular user based on the structure of subsystems to which the application solution objects are related. The user may configure an interface according to his personal preferences. The implementer can enable of disable a part of functionality for the application solution without changing its code.

Spreadsheet document
Formatted document

Spreadsheet document is a powerful tool to present any information and print it. It provides not only an effective preparation of print documents, but also their view on the screen in the user-friendly form.

Using the formatted document, it is possible to create the text fragments that contain different font, color design, alignment, include the pictures and hyperlinks.

Text document
Charts

In the 1C:Enterprise 8 application solutions, along with the spreadsheet documents, the text document can be also used to represent the output information for the user. The system allows their generation in software based on the templates created by the developer.

The use of charts allows representing the resulting data in the human-readable form. The charts emphasize the user to the data change dynamics and allow quickly making a relative comparison of data. In addition, the specialized types of charts may display the patterns usually hidden behind the large data volumes.

Geographical scheme
Graphical schema

Geographical scheme visualize the resulting data in terms of their geographic location. This allows creating the reports that illustrate, for example, the sales volumes of certain goods in different regions of country. Also, the geographical scheme can be used simply to display the certain geographic data, for example, travel directions to the office or traffic diagram of vehicle.

Graphical schema is intended to design the forms and reports in which it is required to display the specific organizational flowcharts, etc. In addition, a geographical schema can be used as a separated document which is a part of application solution design. Using the geographical schemes, it is convenient to create illustrations that explain a structure of specific algorithms, a structure of specific processes, organizational schemes, etc.

Common interface mechanisms

Script supports a set of procedures and functions with the use of which the developer can provide an interactive interaction with the user. For example, he can display the messages, warnings and information about a progress of algorithms in the application solution.
