Reporting mechanisms

Mechanisms intended to generate the economic and analytical reporting are a set of tools that allows building not just the print forms, but the interactive documents that are closely integrated in the application solution. The user can not only print a report, but also work with it almost just like with any screen from – change the report settings, rebuild it, use the "transcriptions" – an ability to generate the additional reports based on the individual items of previously generated report, etc.

In addition, the advanced users who are familiar with the structure of the used application solution can use in their work several universal software tools to generate any arbitrary reports depending on their tasks.

We list the main mechanisms used in the creation of economic and analytical reports:

Query mechanism
Spreadsheet document

Designed to select information from database. Query is a call to the system with request to select specific information from database and, usually, to perform certain processing for it: group, sort, calculate. Using the query, for example, it is easy to know the sales volume of each article during one year with detailed information for each month or to select the items of catalogs according to the specific condition.

A powerful means of any information presentation and its printing. It provides not only the effective preparation of print documents, but also their view on the screen in the user-friendly form.

Data composition system
Geographical scheme

Intended to generate the reports as well as to output information which has a complex structure and contains an arbitrary set of tables and charts. It allows, for example, forming various levels of data specification in one report, flexibly customizing the reports by user, allocating the indicators in the report according to the conditions specified by the user.

Allows visualizing the resulting data in terms of their geographic location. This allows creating the reports that illustrate, for example, the sales volumes of certain goods in different regions of country. Also, the geographical scheme can be used simply to display the certain geographic data, for example, travel directions to the office or traffic diagram of vehicle.

Mechanism of data analysis
Charts

Allows implementing in the application solutions the tools to identify the patterns that usually are hidden behind the large amounts of information. For example, by analyzing the data of the sales of goods, it is possible to identify the groups of goods that are usually bought together, and at the next purchase to recommend the client the additional goods according to the found patterns and those goods that the client has already chosen.

The use of charts allows representing the resulting data in the human-readable form. The charts emphasize the user to the data change dynamics and allow quickly making a relative comparison of data. In addition, The specialized types of charts may display the patterns usually hidden behind   the large data volumes.
