Common attribute

Common attributes are the general configuration objects. They are used for two different purposes.

Data split

Firstly, the common attributes are used in the data split mechanism in order to identify the independent data areas created inside the information base. To do this, the property of common attribute Data split is used.

Storing data of the same type

Secondly, the common attributes are used in order to automatically add to several or all the configuration objects the similar attribute with the same name and of the same type.

For example, if in all the documents it is required to have the attributes Author and Editor, there is no need to create these attributes in each document. It is enough to create two common attributes (Author, Editor) and indicate in which documents they will be used.
